Research & Planning: Equipment list

Dolly: This will be used to create slow moving shots which will be smooth.

I5 Computer: This is what I will edit my music video on.

Tripod: I will mount my digital camera onto this to take film which is steady and the camera doesn't need to move.

Digital Camera: This will be the main way I will capture my music video footage in a decent quality.

Lighting: I will use a light stand to light a dark area as my digital camera will not capture good quality footage in the dark.

Mobile Phone: When I don’t have my digital camera on me I will film using my phone that has a 5mp camera.

Microphone: I will record some sound effects for my music video.

Research & Planning: Audience Questionnaires

These are the questions that I give to my target audience to complete and these are the answers  I gathered.

This question was straight forward, my main target audience was 15 to 18 yr olds.

The majority of my target audience were male, but my video will be aimed at both genders.

This is really useful as I will know the best place to upload my music video. I will use YouTube as it is the most popular streaming service. I will also try to put the song on spotify and the music channels.

The people that use spotify use and stream lots of songs, this is a positive as i would get a royalty on every time played.

The preferred genre for my target audience is pop and rap. This is useful as it helps me to choose a song that will be the most socially accepted.

I have found that the most important part of a music video is actually the music behind the video.

This question was very useful as I have learnt that kinetic typography is very useful. Only 5% of my audience believed that it would not be useful.

This question was not received to well as it was not a multiple choice, Many surveys were done quickly and the answers that were taken fast paced cuts and effects.
